The new generation of coordinate measuring and machining systems developed by the Lapic company on the basis of a six-bar guiding-system design tangibly simplifies measurement, inspection and machining of complex-shaped workparts.
These systems provide for high-precision gauging and machining, facilitate tooling up for production, reduce jig and fixture requirements, and cut down production costs.
Their radically new design has substantially reduced the effect of ambient factors on measuring and machining accuracy.
The absense of guideways and units mounted one on top of the other has made it possible to eliminate errors typical of conventional machining systems.

There is no need for workpiece location relative to reference planes on the machine, which task is done mathematically, so ensuring simple and fast workpiece setting.
The working loads and deformations in the system do not affect the proper functioning of the measuring units, so the accuracy of tool positioning is preserved.
