The Configuration Menu
In normal configuration, basic functions such as unit (grammes, ounces, carats, etc.), type of calibration, baud rate, parity, print function, print delay, last point in display, automatic zero position correction, signalling tone, date/time correction, menu locking and print status, etc. can be adjusted.
In the user configuration, personally defined configurations and parameters can be stored by other users in a separate memory, irrespective of the demands on the balance, and can be called up again at any time.
The manufacturer configuration primarily ensures a smooth customer service and enables faults in the operating system to be found quickly.

The Main Menu
In the main menu, the equipment is programmed for changing ambient conditions and individual weighing operations. Calibration, four different units (grammes, ounces, carats, etc.), floating display or stabilisation checks can be set here.
The Mode Functions
Command functions such as data transit mission, changing between basic unit and second unit, measurements with reference
values, parts counting with reference weight and transmission of date and time are started by the mode functions.

Data output, connettion for the multifunction box and weighing below balance
The 290 Series equipment has a RS232/V24 data output fitted as standard. The multifunction box activates a variety of extra applications such as density determination, mean value calculation, standard deviation, etc..
Like other Precisa balances, this Series has a built-in device for weighing below balance.
